Woodside Cheese Wrights Baked Feta « Return to recipes index

You will need:
  • 500 g Woodside Goat Feta
  • 2010 Coriole Olive Oil - Frantoio and Leccino blend
  • 1- 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh oregano, chopped finely
  • cracked pepper
  • Chilli fresh or dried ( if you like) or other fancy bits like olives, capers , anchovies
  • good crusty bread

Preheat oven 220c
time to prepare = 10 min
cooking time = 10 min
serves 4

It is best if you have an over proof skillet
Drizzle a small amount of olive oil in the base of the skillet or pan. Cut the feta into random size cubes place in the pan with 1 or 2 crushed garlic cloves, sprinkle with cracked black pepper to your taste and fresh oregano leaves ( add chilli if desired )

place skillet in hot oven until cheese melts and just slightly bubbles.
carefully remove from oven and place skillet on bread board serve immediately with crusty bread which should be broken by hand and dipped into hot pan of fragrant cheese this is a sharing dish which works brilliantly with a glass of chilled champagne - delicious.
(add more olive oil after cooking if desired)
