Woodside Manon Makes Waves

WOODSIDE cheeses cleaned up at the recent Brisbane Cheese Awards, winning four gold medals and a trophy for the Manon, a fresh curd blended with garlic and black pepper. Kris Lloyd is rightly chuffed, particularly as Marion has been on the market for only a month.

Cheese awards: Adelaide Hills cheese producer Woodside Cheese Wrights took home four gold medals at the recent Brisbane Cheese Awards, in which 150 different cheeses were exhibited across 10 different categories. One of the company's cheeses, Manon, on the market for less than a month, scored the highest points in its category to take out the trophy. Its other cheeses to win awards were a Fresh Chevre, a flower-covered Monet and a washed-rind Figaro.
