Woodside Cheese Wrights wins another Gold medal at the World Cheese Awards judged in Birmingham, England.

Hosted at the BBC Good Food Show on 23rd November 2011, over 200 international judges tasted over 2,500 cheeses from 30 countries. It is the largest cheese competition in the world, which takes the 200 judges the entire day to judge.

Woodside Cheese Wrights Vigneron cheese was awarded gold in the soft goat milk cheese category. Vigneron is a small round of cheese that is made using local South Australian goat milk, once the cheese matures for a few weeks it is wrapped in vine leaves and allowed to develop. It is best when fully ripe and boasts a creamy velvety paste that is full flavoured.

In addition Woodside was awarded a silver medal for their semi hard cow milk cheese Mandolin and bronze medals for Manon and their mixed milk fresh cheese Duet.

Woodside Cheese Wrights remains the only South Australian cheese maker to win gold at these awards, also winning in 2008 and 2009.
